The Works comprise installation of heating control boards to approximately 5 500 properties. Internally the work comprises: Property surveys and asbestos surveys; asbestos removal if required; removing existing redundant equipment, debris, and obsolete parts; installation of new isolation valves and drain off cocks; installation of a hydraulic board (containing heat meter spacer piece, direct hot water heat exchanger and system balancing/commissioning equipment); modifying pipework to accept hydraulic board and to serve existing radiators and existing hot and cold water pipework; installation of all necessary temperature controls, programmer, room thermostat, check valves, strainers, drain cocks etc. plus commissioning; associated wiring; insulating concealed pipework in cupboards etc.; all making good and associated and incidental work. Externally the work comprises: Installation of new isolation valves to individual blocks for heating incoming supplies; installation of new heating circulation pumps. The Contractor will be required to carry out all liaison functions with tenants and residents to ensure the works are completed in accordance with the stipulated timescales, including: Tenant liaison, information reporting and resolution of tenant queries/ complaints/problems.
