One of the beamlines at Diamond is the 250m long imaging and coherence beamline (http://www.diamond.ac.uk/Home/Beamlines/I13.html). The beamline consists of two main branches with two undulators: The imaging branch (labelled I13LI) will cover an energy range from 6-40keV and provide techniques like in-line phase contrast imaging and tomography over a large field of view as well as full-field microscopy with a resolution down to 50nm. Whilst the coherence branch (labelled I13LC) will cover an energy range from 6-20keV and provide image resolution beyond the limitations given by X-ray optics and detectors. This will be achieved by using diffraction techniques, which exploit the properties of coherent x-rays. The scope of the contract is to design, manufacture, supply, deliver, install and commission subject to a performance specification one water-cooled vertically deflecting fixed exit Multilayer Monochromator (MLM) for the imaging branch (I13LI).
