The services to be provided will comprise the following; — Reception of household waste delivered to the civic amenity facility, temporary storage of waste at the civic amenity facility and transfer of waste onward to intermediate treatment facilities or disposal facilities. — The organisation of, in conjunction with recycling bodies approved by the Council, the reception, temporary storage, collection and recycling of recyclable materials delivered to the civic amenity area. Recyclables to include, but not confined to paper, cardboard, ferrous material, aluminium, oils, glass, textiles, batteries, plastics and green waste. The contract will be for a period of 1 year initially with an option (strictly at the Contracting Authority's discretion) to extend the contract year by year up to a maximum of 3 years.
