Tamar Bridge Routine Maintenance and Inspection of Gantries Contract

Further to the recently completed principal inspection of the Gantries on the Tamar Bridge, which is required to occur every 6 years, there is now a requirement to appoint a suitably accredited and experienced contractor, to undertake regular scheduled maintenance and routine inspection of the gantries, over the intervening 5 year period, leading up to the next scheduled principal inspection. The purpose of the contract is to carry out routine inspections and servicing of the electrical and mechanical installations on the four Tamar Bridge maintenance gantries, along with the 2 material hoists housed within the main towers along with the provision of reports and records of inspections of the work carried out. Inspection and servicing is to be carried out in accordance with the specification and the Gantry maintenance manual, at quarterly, half yearly and annual intervals.
