X-ray micro focus computer togmography (mCT) scanner. The mCT scanner will be used to study the flood process in porous media, e.g., glass, or reservoir rocks. We would like to use this equipment to visualise fluid displacement processes in porous media. This does not involve visualising transient processes, instead we aim to take pictures fast enough so that we can deduce what streaming processes have taken place between the pictures.
