The Authority is seeking a company/consortium to design, construct and operate a multi storey car park. The proposed site already has the benefit of outline planning permission for the works. The design stage will involve the architectural and engineering design of a multi storey car park with a minimum capacity of 515 car parking spaces including disabled parking spaces. The building will have a high quality facade (see III.1.4) including a minimum of 2 nr. lifts and 1 nr. 150 m2 gross internal floor area parking attendants office space. The project will also include associated external works, below ground drainage, CCTV and security installation, parking control installations and internal and external lighting. The construct stage will involve the construction and fit out of the designed building on the specified site. The operate stage will involve the operation of the completed building for a period of up to 25 years. This will include regular maintenance, periodic maintenance, a mid life refurbishment after 12 years and a comprehensive refurbishment in the final year prior to handing back the building to the Authority. Operation will include as a minimum setting and collecting parking fees, issuing and collecting parking fines, maintaining security, on-site quick response to barrier/ticket/operation problems, cleaning services, and planned and reactive maintenance.
