Visitors/tourists have a need for easy access to information about activities in the area where they are located. The current information solution is inadequate, both in scope and technologically. The idea is to establish a new, easy access electronic information system that helps visitors/tourists that are in the area seek out local deals. The solution will consist of a collection of host information about Telemark from different databases made available in local self-service solutions at different screens. The vision for Interaktive Telemark is to create a flow of information where there are 2 focuses: - Information users - Information Intermediary The Information users shall be able to retrieve updated information locally from a single source (integrated platform), and use this in various screen-based interfaces (smart phones, tablets, kiosks, personal computers or similar). Information providers should be able to select and compile relevant local tourist information from different databases in 1 place. The System (our new solution) will promote the collection, distribution and updating of selected information. In short, we can describe the flow of information as follows: '1 way in - many ways out' The solution to be delivered is a complete integrated platform with the following main elements: 1. Software platform (the integrated platform) – development and operation, 2. Hardware – public solution (wireless zones, info kiosks, info screens).
