A contract to operate, support and extend a next generation broadband network; utilising the existing DRL infrastructure to continue to provide wholesale network access and services to residential and business communities and public sector organisations within South Yorkshire. Accountability for all of the revenues, costs and risks associated with delivering and operating the network. An open access network for all service and communications providers, and supporting the delivery of innovative services. Any profits over and above a jointly agreed level that have been generated through the operation of the DRL network will be returned to DRL for reinvestment. The contract duration will be 9 years with the option to transfer title after year 6.
