Sports-event organisation services. Provision of a venue and facilities for the British Army Alpine Ski Championships for approximately 120 athletes, 30 officials and 80 sponsors and VIPs. a. Provide a championship venue with a suitable location that is able to conduct Alpine competitions at Federation International de Ski (FIS) level, which must be on mainland Europe and no more than 1 200 km from Calais, no further than 2 hours from an international airport and have good local train and bus links. Must be able to accommodate Slalom, Giant Slalom, Super G and Downhill racing on FIS homologated pistes, preferably at World Cup standard. If snow conditions are poor for Alpine competitions there must be an option to provide a similar service at an alternative suitable venue, nearby. Championship dates are: (1) 2013. 22 Jan to 1.2.2013. (Officials arrive 19.1.2013). (2) 2014. 21 Jan 14 to 31.1.2014. (Officials arrive 18.1.2014). (3) 2015. 20 Jan to 30.1.2015 (TBC). (Officials arrive 17.1.2015 TBC); b. There will be a requirement to conduct pre-championships planning and provide; a full results service; competitors self catering accommodation for up to 120; officials catered accommodation for up to 15 and quality, catered accommodation for a further 15 officials and 80 Sponsors and VIPs. A race office is required with communications, broadband and storage space; a venue for an outdoor (standing) and indoor (seated) prize giving for 220 personnel. There is requirement to provide a course setter + hill team, racing equipment (timing gear and poles), gate judges and Piste support and mountain rescue for all races. There will be a requirement for the evaluation team to visit the site during the tender evaluation period.
