New central feeding system in Matre

The Institute for Marine Research's research stations in Matre shall procure a new feeding system for one of it's sea sites. Feeding system will be a blow system with silos and blowers on land and pipes to the individual cages. The plant is a steel construction of a Nor-Mær type, and is located in Smørdalen in Masfjorden Municipality. The plant consists of 2 20x20 meter cages, 9 12x12 meter cages and 12 5.5x5.5 meter cages. The purpose of the facility is primarily research on salmoids, and use of the system will differ from the standard feeding systems for commercial installations.
