NTNU is to purchase simulation software for the use with NTNU's research and teaching. The software will be used for among other things the simulation of calculating heat / radiation, calculation of strength etc. The software will be used by most of NTNU's faculties, and is used by both PhD and master's degree students, and will also be used in the teaching of lower year students. Given this a site agreement that covers the entire NTNU is required. NTNU also has some external-funded commissioned research and it is therefore necessary that the licenses for the software can be used for both academic and commercial use.
