Medical Licensing Assessment (MLA) Systems

The Medical Licensing Assessment (MLA) will be made up of 2 elements to test candidates’ knowledge and practical skills. The first is an applied knowledge test (AKT) made up of single best answer questions and the second a clinical and professional skills assessment (CPSA). We are investigating the market with our requirements for the software that the GMC will need to support this work. Due to the diverse requirements from both elements, we are keen to understand various options you can present to us including 1 overall solution. The brief overview is: — ability to enter exam questions/stations, store and administrate them through their lifecycle within the software (including setting angoff, etc.), — create, store and administrate exams created from the above questions/stations, — provide the mechanism for online delivery of AKT examinations across the world, — provide the features to mark the examinations and perform analysis, — AKT Software will be used for all computerised assessments including test of competence, revalidation exams, etc., — further specific requirements and data is included in the sections below. Proposed supplier dates in Manchester: — 14, 17 and 21.2.2020. Contact – GMC Procurement Team, email gmctenders@gmc-uk.org to book a slot. Estimated upper contract value for build work – we are seeking guidance form the market on this figure for our planning.
