Project name: Sarajevo Canton Water and Wastewater Project Country: Bosnia and Herzegovina Business sector: Municipal and environmental infrastructure Project ID: 7029-GPN-39960 Funding source: EBRD Type of contract: Services, Works, Goods Type of notice: General Procurement notice Issue date: 12 February 2013 Closing date: 12 February 2014 at 24:00, Sarajevo time Sarajevo Canton intends using the proceeds of a loan from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (the Bank) for a project to finance the upgrade and replacement of the water and sewerage network operated by the Water and Sewer Company of Sarajevo (the “Company” or “ViK”). The proposed project, which has a total estimated cost of EUR 35 million equivalent, will require the procurement of the following goods, works and services: • Reconstruction of water and sewage network • Supply of measurement and control equipment • Rehabilitation of pumping stations • Rehabilitation of chlorination facilities • Project implementation support, design, procurement and supervision Tendering for the above contracts is expected to begin in the first quarter of 2013. Contracts to be financed with the proceeds of a loan from the Bank will be subject to the Bank's 'Procurement Policies and Rules' and will be open to firms from any country. The proceeds of the Bank's loan will not be used for the purpose of any payment to persons or entities, of for any import of goods, if such payment or import is prohibited by a decision of the United Nations Security Council taken under Chapter VII of the Charter of the United Nations or under a law of official regulation of the Purchaser's country.
