Coras Iompair Eireann invite applications from suitably qualified companies to participate in the pre-qualification process for the provision of SAN system. The CIE Group requires modular disk Storage systems for both its data centres that have been designed to support site to site replication, be high performing, highly reliable, highly available, and which can easily scale. The following minimum characteristics are required: — Current storage requirements, — DataCentre1 is 80TB, — DataCentre2 is 70TB, — 8Gb/s FC, and or 10Gb/s iSCSI /FCoE connectivity, — Cache > 8GB, — Thin provisioning technology, — Dynamic LUN and RAID Migration, — Local and remote replication technology for disaster avoidance, — Ability to shrink and expand LUNs, — interoperability between a variety of operating systems and applications such as: Windows server 2003, Windows Server 2008, Vmware 4.1, Vmware 5, :SAP, Oracle, Microsoft SQL, Vmware SRM. — SAN management which should include both reporting and management elements for the following features: performance, capacity, utilisation, availability, Tiering and Thin provisioning. Reporting and alerts should be compatible with our existing monitoring systems, — Consideration for minimal /non-disruptive migration of data from existing storage, — Hot swappable disks and controllers, — Online code upgrades for disks and controllers. Desired features: — Tier functionality, automated sub-LUN data tiering, providing automatic storage tiering between hard disk drives and solid state drives (SSD), — Snap copies, and scheduling of snapshot functionality, — Multi controller design with automatic load balancing, — DeDeuplication, — Supports Open VMS 8.31H operating system.
