Spine message handling (SMH) has been deployed in a wide range of environments; on various platforms, available computing resources, deployment and support models. It exposes a simple interface to the end-user system. The support service is split into software update and technical assistance as well SMH facilitates connection to the NHS Spine services as: — ereferrals/choose and book, — electronic prescribing service, — spine directory service. Royal Marsden Hospital has been deploying this service since 2016 that is interfacing with ERP to all other clinical systems.
