Fabrication and Treatment of High Beta Cavities

As part of the UK In Kind Contribution, STFC is responsible for delivering 84 tested high-β dressed elliptical cavities capable of achieving 22.9 MV/m at 704 MHz, with a Qo better than 5 x 109, which will be installed in 21 high-β cryomodules, 4 cavities per cryomodule. This tender is for the procurement of the superconducting cavities of the high-β section at 704.42 MHz of the proton LINAC for the European Spallation Source (ESS). Cavities are to be equipped with the He-tank and will be produced ready to be RF tested. STFC will provide the Niobium material. STFC may wish to purchase the following optional extras after initial order placement. 1. 4 additional cavities. 2. 5 additional repetitions of the final BCP 3. 20 additional repetitions of the HPR cycle
