Supply, installation and commissioning of a multiphoton (2 photon) microscope which uses high-intensity tuneable pulsed lasers to achieve interaction of 2 photons with one molecule. Through this instrument, spatial resolution similar to that of the confocal microscope should be achieved but with sample penetration that is much greater and photo-toxicity much less. The instrument is intended for pheno-typing studies of samples from patients with cardiovascular disease and diabetes, and studies of engineered cardiovascular tissues.
