The contract is for an initial 3 year fixed period starting from September 2014, with 2 annual options to extend by a further 12 months each, up to a maximum total contract duration of 5 years. The scope will be for a school meal catering service during term time which could include breakfast, morning break, lunch, after schools meals as well as ad hoc requirements at the individual schools discretion. The contractor will be expected to serve high quality, fresh, nutritional and exciting food. Emphasis will be placed on the contractor to work closely with the schools involved to drive improvements in efficiency and food education as well as a change in food culture. TUPE will apply from each of the 25 schools.
