The purpose of this Prior Information Notice is to notify the market of the Ministry of Justice's intention to procure the services concession. 4 years max, made up of a variety of options (2 + 2, or 3 + 1 etc), to be determined in the tender. The provider must have the capacity to deliver testing for up to 200 offenders per year, over and above the 750 serious sexual offenders who must have a condition for mandatory polygraph condition in their post-release licence. Offenders will be tested on average twice per year. Public probation service providers (currently known as Probation Trusts) will have the option of testing up to 200 sexual offenders per annum (on top of the 750 serious offenders) for whom it can be demonstrated testing is proportionate and necessary.
