Educational and animal research facilities at Moorepark.

Teagasc is seeking expressions of interest from architect led integrated design teams for a significant construction project at the Moorepark Campus, Fermoy, Co. Cork. The project which will include 2 sub-projects, will involve the design and construction of a number of separate buildings. One of these is an innovation centre integrating educational facilities, to fulfil Teagasc’s commitment to the new UCD/Teagasc led Dairy Business BAgrSc degree option, with additional office accommodation and associated facilities/services at the Moorepark Animal and Grassland Research Centre. The second development calls for the construction of replacement 200 sow integrated pig unit and associated facilities with emphasis on achieving or surpassing current animal welfare standards and including a functional food test facility.
