Self Directed Support Contract. Brighton and Hove City Council is inviting suitable organisations or consortia to tender for the provision of a Self Directed Support Service. The Service Provider will provide information, advice and support to vulnerable adults and carers, disabled children, young people and their families, which will include: The provision of information and training on the implications of Direct Payments or other means of self-directed support such as Personal Budgets, assisting to set up the systems, such as supported bank accounts and payroll facilities, required to effectively manage their Direct Payments/Personal Budgets, advice and assistance on the recruitment of staff including drawing up job descriptions, advertising, interviewing, seeking references and contracts of employment. The organisation will also be required to develop & maintain services such as Business Service and PA notice boards, that can be accessed by people with Direct Payments/Personal Budgets as well as self-funders and to demonstrate it has the capacity to develop and deliver services in tandem with the further roll out of Personalised approaches.
