Parliamentary Administration (hereinafter referred to as the Contracting Authority) organises several annual meetings where there is a need for interpreting equipment for simultaneous translation. About half of the meetings take place in Parliament, while the other take place around Norway (including Svalbard). To conduct simultaneous translation, the Contracting Authority seeks to cover its needs for certain equipment by renting said equipment. The agreement will regulate the rental conditions for such equipment and installation, operation and dismantling related to each leasing occasion. Rental periods will generally be from one to four days. The scope of each rental will be from one interpretation booth up to 11 booths located in several rooms. Examples of equipment to be hired: — Interpreter's booths; — Interpreter's set; — Different transmitter and receiver equipment; — Monitors; — Headphones. Examples of services to be included: — Transport of equipment; — Installation of equipment; — Operation of the equipment during the meetings; — Removal of equipment. The supplier shall provide technical equipment and related services beyond the above where necessary to facilitate an effective interpreter service.
