Project name: Mykolayiv Trolleybus Project Country: Ukraine Business sector: Municipal and Environmental Infrastructure Project ID: 48302 Funding source: EBRD Type of contract: Project goods, works and services Type of notice: General procurement notice Issue date: 12.2.2018 Closing date: 12.2.2019 Mykolayiv City Council and Communal Enterprise “Mykolayivelectrotrans” (“the Company”), a municipal public transport operator, have applied for loan financing from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (“EBRD” or “the Bank”) to finance the renewal of Company’s trolleybuses fleet and modernisation of relevant infrastructure. The proposed project, which has a total estimated cost of EUR 12 500 000 equivalent will require the procurement of the following goods, works and services using the proceeds of the loan: — low-floor 12 000 trolleybuses (including diagnostic equipment, tools, spare parts and associated services), — trolleybus maintenance and repair equipment, — rehabilitation and modernisation of trolleybus depot (to be confirmed), — extension of power supply infrastructure including construction of new substation(s) and extension of catenary network (to be confirmed). Tendering for the above contracts is expected to begin in the Q2 of 2018. Contracts to be financed with the proceeds of the loan from the EBRD will be subject to the EBRD Procurement Policies and Rules and will be open to firms from any country. The proceeds of the EBRD loans will not be used for the purpose of any payment to persons or entities, of for any import of goods, if such payment or import is prohibited by a decision of the United Nations Security Council taken under Chapter VII of the Charter of the United Nations or under a law of official regulation of the Purchaser's country.
