The Authority requires a sound and vision Operations and Maintenance Contractor to provide professionally run, high quality, cost effective services for broadcast vision, sound and AV facilities in the UK Parliament from 1.9.2014. The Contractor will be required to provide operational, management and maintenance staff with relevant sound, vision and AV experience in order to support the broadcasting and recording of parliamentary proceedings and the use of AV equipment around the Parliamentary Estate. The operation and maintenance of sound and vision coverage from Parliament and AV support for meetings, are critical services and the delivery of high quality coverage of proceedings to no fail standards is the key service at the heart of this contract. The contract covers: — Camera and Microphone operation in Chambers and Committee Rooms, working to UK broadcast standards, — Recording of proceedings in Chambers and Committee Rooms to UK broadcast standards, — Technical support and maintenance of all broadcast and AV equipment, — Committee, meeting room and catering event AV operation and support, — Delivery of technical and operational support for ad-hoc and special events, — Occasional coverage of committee meetings away from the Estate, — Relocation arrangements, including business continuity and disaster recovery, — Support for the co-ordinated delivery of sound, vision and AV services in the longer term.
