Public joint stock company “UKRTRANSGAZ” intends using the proceeds of a loan from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, European Investment Bank (the Banks) for the implementation of the emergency project, which forms part of the reconstruction, capital repairs and technical re-equipping of the main gas pipeline Urengoy – Pomary – Uzhgorod. The proposed project, which has a total estimated cost of up to EUR 300 million, is require the procurement of the following goods, works and services: — equipment and supplies (pipes, induction bends, fittings, valves) for Bar-Gusiatyn and Gusiatyn-Bogorodchany sections of the Urengoy-Pomary-Uzhgorod main gas pipeline, — equipment and supplies (pipes, induction bends, fittings, valves) for Romny-Grebinky and Grebinky-Soviivka sections of the Urengoy-Pomary-Uzhgorod main gas pipeline, — reconstruction of Compressor Station Romny including, inter alia, replacement of two compressors units, — consultancy services for lenders’ monitoring consultant. Tendering for the above contracts is expected to begin in the second quarter of 2018. Contracts to be financed with the proceeds of a loan from the Banks will be subject to the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development Procurement Policies and Rules and will be open to firms from any country. The proceeds of the Bank's loan will not be used for the purpose of any payment to persons or entities, of for any import of goods, if such payment or import is prohibited by a decision of the United Nations Security Council taken under Chapter VII of the Charter of the United Nations or under a law of official regulation of the purchaser's country.
