Royal Wolverhampton Hospital NHS Trust is seeking to award a contract for 60 months with the option to extend by two seperate 12 month periods. The potential total length of contract is 7 years. HealthTrust Europe ('HTE') acting as a provider of procurement services on behalf of Royal Wolverhampton Hospital NHS Trust is seeking to award a contract for Outpatient Dispensing Services. It is envisaged that the procurement will comprise of the following three core elements: Pharmacy outpatient dispensing services - this is likely to constitute the main focus of the procurement. The success provider will need to establish a registered pharmacy at the Trust. The Trust estimates that current volume of outpatient transactions amounts to approximately 110,000 per annum with current spending on outpatient medicines amounting to approximately GBP 3,000,000. These figures are provided for reference ONLY and do not constitute a guarantee of future volume or spending. Homecare pharmacy services - the Trust is interested in exploring with bidders options for the management and delivery of homecare pharmacy services and the potential development of an integrated service model. There is no guarantee that this will be included in the final specification issued to suppliers. Retail Pharmacy Services - the delivery of retail pharmacy services to the Trust which include OTC and health and beauty products. As the contract for this procurement falls within Part B of Schedule 3 to the Public Contracts Regulations 2006, the Trust is not obliged to follow one of the prescriptive procedures set out in those Regulations. However, the Trust intends to use the restricted procedure as a model for this procurement without being bound by the rules that usually attach to that procedure. The Trust therefore reserves the right to deviate from the restricted procedure at any stage. Any changes to the process will be communicated to all bidders in advance in accordance with the principles of equal treatment, transparency and non-discrimination.
