The Department for Communities and Local Government (DCLG) is seeking to award a contract for the organisation and management of a continuous sample survey (the English Housing Survey (EHS)) over 3 successive years from April 2012 with an optional fourth year. The survey has been running continuously since 2008 to collect information on people’s housing circumstances and the condition and energy efficiency of the housing stock. Outputs from the survey inform the development and monitoring of new policies within DCLG and across government. They are also extensively used by researchers outside government.
