Translink operate a fleet of 1 400 buses and coaches and 150 railway vehicles across Northern Ireland. These are maintained in workshops in the greater Belfast Area and garages across Northern Ireland. Translink also operate bus and railway stations with associated offices, toilets and waiting areas in all the main towns in Northern Ireland. Translink requires a competent contractor(s) to provide suitable cleaning products and associated tools to ensure the vehicles enter service in pristine condition and buildings are presentable. Translink require that all products meet the latest environmental and health and safety legislative requirements for its use and waste disposal. A break down of the product ranges with estimated spend is as follows (Note that as many of the existing products can be used for several tasks the annual usages have been estimated):-. Lot 1 Building Translink require a range of products and tools that could be used for cleaning offices, toilets and public waiting areas. Annual spend 50 GBP. Lot 2 Bus External Translink operate a fleet of 1 400 bus and coaches which are either cleaned in "drive through" bus washes or power washed. Proposed cleaning products must be compatible for use in conjunction with existing bus washes, power wash equipment and must not harm the paint or fabric of the vehicles. Annual spend 30 000 GBP. Lot 3 Bus Internal Translink operate a fleet of 1 400 bus and coaches which are cleaned internally on a daily basis. This would include removal of any rubbish, floor cleaning, seat cleaning, glass cleaning, graffiti removal, chewing gum removal and cleaning of other surfaces. These products must not damage any part of the vehicle. Annual spend 130 000 GBP. Lot 4 Train External Translink operate a fleet of 150 railway vehicles that are cleaned on a daily basis in a "drive through" train wash. Bogies and other under frame components would also be power washed when required. Proposed cleaning products must be compatible for use in conjunction with existing train washes, power wash equipment and must not harm the paint or fabric of the vehicles. Annual spend £30k. Lot 5 Train Internal Translink operate a fleet of 150 railway vehicles that are cleaned internally on a daily basis. This would include removal of any rubbish, floor cleaning, seat cleaning, glass cleaning, graffiti removal, chewing gum removal and cleaning of other surfaces. These products must not damage any part of the vehicle. Annual spend 50 000 GBP. Lot 6 Workshop Translink have 25 bus engineering locations and 3 railway maintenance facilities across Northern Ireland. Translink require a range of products and associated tools that could be used for cleaning the workshop areas, parts cleaning and vehicle chassis cleaning. Annual spend 160 000 GBP. The initial contract will be for a period of 3 years with options to extend for a further 2 periods of 1 year each.
