Leicester City Council's Stop Smoking Service (Stop) is the lead agency in Leicester City for smoking cessation, and has worked well with community pharmacies and general practices (associate providers) for over ten years, delivering an effective and easily-accessed service for people who live or work in Leicester. Stop continues to need associate providers in order to maximise opportunities for smokers to stop smoking. Associate providers will offer a Standard Treatment programme, working to National Centre for Smoking Cessation and Training (NCSCT) best practice guidance, reporting results to Stop.
