Lviv City Municipality (City) and Lviv Communal Enterprise “Green City”, a municipal company in the City of Lviv, have applied for a loan from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (the Bank or EBRD) to finance the first phase of the rehabilitation of Hrybovychi landfill and introduction of sorting and composting facilities in Lviv. The proposed project, which has an estimated value of up to 35 000 000 EUR will require the procurement of the following goods, works and services to be financed from the proceeds of the Bank’s loan: — rehabilitation of Hrybovychi landfill, — supply and installation of the leachate treatment facilities for Hrybovychi landfill with leachate throughput capacities up to 250 m 3 /day, — construction of waste mechanical and biological treatment facilities, — development of the household civic amenity centres. The tendering for the above contracts is expected to commence in Q1 2018. Contracts that are to be financed with the proceeds of a loan from the Bank are subject to the EBRD Procurement Policies and Rules and are open to firms from any country. The proceeds of the Bank's loan will not be used for the purpose of any payment to persons or entities, or for any import of goods, if such payment or import is prohibited by a decision of the United Nations Security Council taken under Chapter VII of the Charter of the United Nations or under a law of official regulation of the Purchaser's country.
