Infrastructure services (hardware and application) support hosting.

The financial services compensation scheme (FSCS) is the UK's statutory fund of last resort for customers of authorised financial services firms. This means that the Authority can pay compensation when a firm is unable, or likely to be unable, to pay claims against it. Consequently, in order to improve the quality and speed of its services The FSCS (the scheme) is currently weighing up its options for managing its IT infrastructure as part of the IT must do programme. The IT must do programme consists of a number of key projects aimed at increasing efficiency and productivity across FSCS through improvements to the technical infrastructure as well as business process enhancements and organisational restructuring. These projects are scheduled to be completed by the end of 2011/12 financial year. The authority requires services in the following areas which will be treated as 2 lots: Lot 1: centralised infrastructure hosting rolled out in 2 key stages: A. IT must do: servers, platforms, backup, storage for Siebel 8.1 call centre instance and 8.1 (DPR) financial instances, BI and document management. B. Core infrastructure services i.e. file and print, MS exchange, active directory, DNS Lot 2: Managed network services covering voice and data networks.
