Life insurance services. Accident insurance services. The provision and management of personal accident and life insurance services (including critical illness and accelerated terminal illness cover) to members of the Armed Forces and their families including, reserves and ex-service personnel. The service provider shall be required to deliver a personal accident and life insurance scheme tailored to the needs of Service personnel, based on a defined set of benefits as established under the schemes currently operating, comprising PAX, RPAX, XPAX and SLI. The requirement is tendered in two (2) lots comprising: Lot 1: personal accident insurance. The personal accident insurance scheme will cater for the provision of insurance cover based on a selected number of units and will be available for purchase depending on individual need and the extent of the financial commitment that the individual is prepared to make. Lot 2: life insurance. The life insurance scheme will cater for the provision of insurance cover based on a selected number of units and will be available for purchase depending on individual need and the extent of the financial commitment that the individual is prepared to make. This will be a 4 year contract with Authority retaining 2 options to extend each for a period of 2 years giving a maximum contract length of 8 years.
