Fortum Power and Heat Oy is planning to convert two oil fired 52MW(fuel) hot water boilers for wood pellet fired boilers in heat boiler plant located in Espoo, Finland. Final investment decision is not yet made, it will be done after receiving the binding offers. The project is divided to three separate turn-key delivery packages (1. boiler rebuilt and fuel preparation, 2. pellet fuel handling system and 3. flue gas cleaning system) which will be offered separately and independently of each other. Purchaser will be in charge for civil works for excavation and foundations, Contractor for other building works. Preliminary schedule of the project is: — Application for tendering by 17.4.2014 at 16:00 hours, — Tenders published by 25.4.2014, — Dead line for offers by 23.5.2014, — negotiations June 2014, — final investment decision August 2014, — Contracts signed August 2014, — Take over of the delivery September 2015. Main scope of the delivery of each package: 1. Rebuild of two oil fired hot water boilers for firing of pellets and fuel preparation: — Mechanical conveyors from pellet silos to hammer mills, — Hammer mills including dust control system, — Conveyors from hammer mills to intermediate storage silo, — Intermediate silo for storage of pulverized pellets, incl. filters, — Dosing system for burners, — Conveyors from Dosing system to burners, — Four burners for pulverized pellets (two burners/boiler), — Rebuild of the two existing oil fired boiler for firing of pulverized pellets, — External economizer, — Pressurized air compressors including auxiliary equipment, — Automation system (or update of existing system). 2. Pellet fuel handling: — Receiving station for pellets designed for back tipping and walking floor trucks including dust control system for the receiving station, — Conveyor system from the receiving station to the Pellet silos, — New Pellets Silos or Rebuilding of Existing Heavy Fuel Oil Silo into a Pellet Silo. 3. Flue gas cleaning system: — Bag filter or Electrostatic precipitator.
