Provision of a Real Time Passenger Information System (RTPI).

Requirement for future provision of RTPI within Staffordshire County Council to introduce a revised system architecture. This will utilise upgrades to the partner bus operators Electronic Ticket Machines (ETMs), allowing provision of AVL information from the GPS enabled ETM, via the GPRS communications network. Information will be consolidated within bus operator's sub-systems, before being supplied to Stafford County Council for RTPI purposes via SIRI links. Requirements may be split into 2 distinct elements, contractors may choose to tender for 1 or all elements.
