This procurement is for a management information system (MIS) and associated services for Aberdeen City Council's Education services. The Council has 12 secondary schools, 49 primary schools and 12 special schools in Aberdeen City catering for around 23 000 primary and secondary aged pupils. The new MIS will be used by staff in all Council schools. Officers from other Council services will require access to specific datasets e.g. Education psychology and social work services. Proposed systems should be capable of: supporting schools in their everyday functions, enabling strategic decisions with relevant and up to date information, sharing data with external agencies and generating reports required for statutory returns. The procurement scope includes: Provision of appropriate system software and licences; Timeous installation, including configuration, and system testing for live operation; Project management of the overall implementation including migration form the existing system (Phoenix Gold and Phoenix Central); Training of all user levels required; Support and maintenance of the system for the duration of the contract; Any supplementary bespoke software development required to meet future requirements, including any new Scottish Qualification Authority (SQA) requirements; Hosting where offered as a best value option.
