Postal address: EPO, 80298 Munich, Germany . The European Patent Organisation is an intergovernmental organisation set up pursuant to the European Patent Convention which entered into force in 1977. Description of the contract: (a) Purpose of the contract: Purchase and delivery of up to 1 000 "Part-time home working" office desks. (b) Division into lots: Not applicable. (c) Any deposits and guarantees required: Not applicable. (d) Main terms concerning payment: Purchase: within 30 days of acceptance of the equipment. Please submit bids by post only and not by E-Mail. Bids submitted by E-Mail will be excluded. (f) Language or languages in which requests for clarification and bids must be drawn up: English. The Procurement Documents will be available in English only. 7. Legal form of the grouping in the event of a joint bid: If several bidders submit a joint bid, 1 must be designated as prime contractor responsible for performance of all the obligations under the contract. 8. Information and evidence concerning the bidder's financial and economic standing and technical and professional competence: Customer and bank references. 9. Period during which the bidder is bound by his bid: 6 months following the final date for receipt of bids indicated in point 6(d). 10. Criteria for the award of contract: The EPO is free to choose the bid it considers most advantageous. The contract is awarded on the basis of • the economic advantage of the bid (weighting 50%) • the technical quality of the products (weighting 20%) • the bidders organisational capability (weighting 10%) • the declaration of non-compliances (if any) (weighting 10%) and compliance with the tender requirements • Environmental aspects of the products (weighting 10%) 11. Other information: Contract award is expected to take place in the fourth Quarter of 2012. The EPO may as part of its evaluation of the bids request bidders to supply free of all costs and charges to the EPO samples of their furniture.
