The Authorities named in this document have requirement to purchase de-icing salt to be spread onto roads during its winter maintenance programme. This invitation to tender relates primarily to the requirements of Devon County Council, Cornwall Council and the Highways Agency shared depot’s in Devon & Cornwall, however all members of the Devon Procurement Partnership may call off from this Contract if they require. This tender will identify contractors to be appointed to the Framework Agreement detailed herein. i) This tender will identify a contractor(s) to provide the Partnership with its rock salt requirements during the 2011 - 2012 winter spreading season, comprising a bulk order plus additional top-ups as and when they may be required. ii) To provide cover for future periods, the Partnership will operate a Framework Agreement comprising suppliers who will be periodically invited to submit bids to supply the Partnership with its requirement for each future spreading season. Future years’ quantities will be re-competed by issue of quotation documents against this Framework Agreement.
