Broxtowe Borough Council wishes to enter into an agreement for the supply of ‘Electrical Property Repairs and Maintenance Service for Void Domestic Properties'. The main points of the contract are:- Contractros shall perform electrical repair and maintenance work in empty domestic properties to make them suitable for new tenants. It is intended that this will operate as a framework agreement with three suppliers participating. Broxtowe Borough Council requires an NICEIC (or equivalent body for applicants who do electrical installations and alterations) approved electrical contractors to carry out domestic electrical property repairs and maintenance to void properties including periodic and domestic visual inspections, electric upgrades and general electrical repairs and replacements to fittings and any such related requirements requested by the Council. All the work will be required in the area of the Borough of Broxtowe. There is no guarantee of workloads due to the nature of the requirement and that expenditure is dictated by budgetary constraints. The Council will require the successful Contractors to engage with its Economic Development section to put in place a scheme to provide training, qualifications and job interviews for its residents where appropriate and also target recruitment adverts as directed by the Economic Development Section.
