The Enterprise-wide IP Telephony Solution is expected to include but not necessarily restricted to: — IP handset and PC based (IP softphone) telephony with voice messaging and auto-attendant capabilities, — distributed call (contact) centres with call (voice) recording capabilities, — secure web accessible granular call detail recording and call billing capabilities, — secure web accessible Enterprise-wide IP telephony Solution management capabilities, — capabilities to minimise call costs to both landlines and mobiles (e.g. least cost routing, dial 9 protection for internal destinations etc), as well as support for integrating mobiles and other suitable devices into the Solution over Trust WiFi infrastructure and/or by Mobile supplier network integration. Options supporting existing analogue FAX machines and/or to deliver digital FAX will be invited. The contract will operate over existing Site LAN (utilising Cisco Layer 3 PoE switches) and the Birmingham N3 COIN WAN infrastructures. The contract will have high availability, be resilient to systems and network failures, have robust and prompt recovery mechanisms, and provide emergency telephony backup capabilities for specified sites. The contracted supplier will provide Support and Maintenance suitable for 24/7/365 operation.
