SAP Extended Deployment.

Cardiff Council has been an SAP user since 2005 when the first deployment of Procurement, Financials, HR and Payroll took place, with consultancy and implementation support from Logica. The SAP Extended Deployment builds on this initial deployment by restructuring the current licensing model: 1. To allow the Council to further benefit from deployed SAP functionality throughout the organisation and improve interoperability with other systems; 2. To allow the Council to build on current SAP deployment through the configuration and rollout of functionality already available within the existing the SAP ECC6 Business Suite of software; 3. To allow the Council to draw down additional functionality offered within the revised licensing agreement which builds on the existing SAP functionality. Points 1 and 2 above represent a re-structuring of the existing licensing arrangements with SAP. Based on the revised licensing agreement this represents 79 % of the contract value (£3,389,140). Point 3 represents additional licensing arrangements that can be built into the revised licensing arrangements. The arrangements in Point 1 and 2 will allow the Council to benefit from favourable discounts for additional licensing and functionality not currently contained within our existing SAP software. Based on the revised licensing agreement this represents 21 % of the contract value (£794,984).
