Thermocalc software

The Contracting Authority intends to procure Thermocalc software for execution of thermodynamics and phase diagram calculations for multi-component systems of practical significance. The calculation is based on thermodynamics databases produced by experimental data by using the CALPHAD method. The databases are available for Steel, Ti, Al, Mg, Ni metals, multi-component oxides and many other materials. The software system also includes several types of software, including Dictra (for stimulation of diffusion controlled phase changes), TC PRISMA and SDK. The reason the Contracting Authority wishes to procure Thermocalc is that this will contribute to a critical input and give an invaluable contribution to physical based models for calculation and simulation of evolution within micro-chemistry, micro-structure components in connection with thermal processing of steel and aluminium. An increasing focus on recycling where elements of alloy accumulates, which gives an extended spectre of alloy chemistry, has emphasised the requirement for relevant thermodynamics software.
