The works consist of a 160 Lin.m extension to the existing Hatston Pier, Kirkwall, increasing the deck area by 5 175 sq.m. The extension shall retain the structural form of the original pier structure using tubular steel piles driven to refusal, infilled with reinforced concrete and a suspended concrete deck slab. Supply and installation of pier furniture including bollards, fenders, services and wave screens. The contractor will be responsible for undertaking the structural design and producing construction drawings for the new structure. These will be based on general layout and record drawings provided by the client.
