CCHA wishes to procure suitably qualified and competent persons to provide a comprehensive service for the installation, removal, repair and a call out service for stair lifts, hoists, specialist baths, specialist WC's and similar equipment, currently installed in approximately properties. The type of equipment varies but will include Complex Aids for Daily Living (CADLs) such as beds, hoists, pressure care equipment and specialist bathing equipment plus smaller aids e.g. toileting and mobility equipment etc. Stair lifts Stair lifts are installed in CCHA domestic dwellings to allow a disabled person access to the first floor of the dwelling. CCHA have 2 types of lifts to be maintained/installed: 1. Straight Flight Stair lifts; 2. Curved Rail Stair lifts. The Service required will comprise of the following items of work to the stair lifts in domestic dwellings: — Service and Maintenance of all lifts; — Assessment and completion of repairs to lifts; — Replacement of worn and defective parts; — Installation of new lifts or stored previously used lifts; — Removal and disposal, or refurbishment and storage of lift units; — Response to call outs 24 hrs/day, 7 days/week; — Testing of lifts as directed by CCHA. The maintenance and servicing of the CADLs will be carried out in accordance with the specification and the terms and conditions. The service will occur in occupied buildings and in most cases in and around dwellings occupied by persons with disabilities and special needs. Additional instructions may be issued by CCHA requested through job requests, for additional services to be provided outside the main service, such as attending to breakdowns. The provision of the service is required during normal working hours (9:00 to 20:00 on Mondays to Fridays inclusive and from 9:00 to 13:00 on Saturdays including all annual and public holidays) and includes the provision of an emergency response service outside Normal Working Hours so that total cover is given 24 hours per day, every day of the year for the duration of the contract awarded. This includes all weekend and holiday periods.
