1.1 An Garda Síochána (the ‘Contracting Authority’) invites tenders (‘Tenders’) to this Request for Tender (RFT) from economic operators for the supply and delivery of goods described in Appendix 1 of this RFT ‘Requirements and Specifications’. 1.2 Any contract that will result from this competition (the ‘Goods Contract’) will be issued to a single services provider for term of one-year (‘the Term’). 1.3 The Contracting Authority reserves the right to extend for a period or periods of up to one (1) years with a maximum of three (3) such extensions or extensions on the same terms and conditions, subject to the Contracting Authority’s obligations at law. 1.4 The Contracting Authority estimates that the expenditure on the goods to be covered by the proposed Goods Contract may amount to some EUR 500 000 (Excl. VAT) over the term of the contract. Tenders must understand that this figure is an estimate only based on current and future expected usage.
