Winchester Sport and Leisure Centre Contract

Winchester City Council is seeking to understand through this Notice potential interest from experience leisure operators in the leisure management contract to operate the new Winchester Sport and Leisure Centre. This state of the art, wet and dry centre located at Bar End, Winchester will replace River Park Leisure Centre, a facility which has reached the end of its intended life. The new centre will comprise of the following facilities: — 8 lane x 50m main swimming pool, — 20m x 10m learner pool, — hydrotherapy pool, — splash pad, — 200-station health and fitness suite, — spinning studio, — 8-court sports hall, — 4 squash courts, — 2 activity studios, — clip and climb, — 8 treatment rooms, — café. The contract will also include the adjacent Winchester Sports Stadium, which is home to a 400m, 8-lane synthetic athletics track, 100m x 60m water based artificial grass pitch and a clubhouse.
