ADS-B Systems to Norway, execution of option

In connection to the contract with SaabSensis for the implementation of ADS-B surveillance for the helicopter traffic in the Ekofisk and Balder offshore areas, Avinor will extend this contract to include implementation of a WAM (Wide Area Multilateration) system for Bergen and Stavanger TMA. The planned extension will also provide ADS-B coverage for Statfjord CTA. The WAM system for Bergen and Stavanger TMA will use the installed sensors from the surface multilateration systems at Sola and Flesland airports as well as the sensors from the ADS-B system for Ekofisk and Balder offshore areas all provided by SaabSensis. Related to WAM coverage for the rest of the Norwegian airspace, Avinor will shortly announce a prequalification related to this. The planned prequalification will include more detailed information related to the nationwide WAM system.
