Adult Social Care - New Residential Care Accommodation.

Portsmouth City Council (the Council) is to procure a contract for the construction of a new residential care home for older people with dementia from a contractor with extensive experience in delivering similar high quality premises. The Council will tender on full traditional tender documentation to build a new 72-bed residential care home with a net construction value of circa GBP 5 000 000 plus VAT. The Council's target start on site date for this scheme is January 2015 with a completion date of February 2016. It is proposed that the JCT standard form of building contract will be used. The deadline for submission of requests for clarification is 23.5.2014 23:59 and the deadline for submission of completed pre-qualification questionnaires is 30.5.2014 14:00. The target date for confirmation of shortlisted tenderers is 13.6.2014. The target date for issue of tender documents to the shortlisted tenderers is 1st September and the target date for award of the contract is 18.11.2014.
