Glasgow Caledonian University has identified a need for a contract for the supply, installation and commissioning of a HD video management System. The University has recently carried out a review of its current CCTV provision. The current system is rapidly reaching the end of its life and no longer operates efficiently. A recent lightening strike has necessitated the need for a review of the system, as the parts damaged cannot be replaced due to them being no longer manufactured. The University would like to procure an IP high definition/mega pixel CCTV system that will generate a future proofed secure system with the flexibility to extend as future technologies develop. A matrix of cameras gives the security control room located within the main campus visibility of: — all main access and egress routes, — main door entry in each building, — campus grounds. The University CCTV system is critical to the success of both the Security Strategy, Business Continuity Planning and for the welfare and safety, of Students and visitors to the campus. Please note that the new video management system including all software, NVR hardware and fixed HD cameras must be from the Avigilon product range and will incorporate the existing Avigilon cameras as detailed in the tender document.
