Market Consultation for Airport Surface Movement Radar Equipment: ATC-NL is a Dutch independent administrative organization that is responsible for providing air traffic services to civil air traffic in the Dutch airspace in a safe, efficient and environmentally sensible way. In the Dutch Aviation Act this and all other tasks of ATC-NL have been laid down. Besides the provision of air traffic services these tasks consist of the provision of CNS services (including the modernization and management of these technical systems), giving aeronautical information, catering for air traffic control training and providing aviation charts and publications. In short, ATC-NL is responsible for the control of air traffic in the Dutch civil airspace as well as parts of the North Sea area and everything related thereto. ATC-NL became operational in 1923 and since 1993 as a so called ‘Independent Administrative Body (ZBO)’. Replacement of the Surface Movement Radars: Air Traffic Control — The Netherlands (ATC-NL) wishes to replace (parts of) the current Surface Movement Radars that are in use at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol. Purpose market consultation: ATC-NL requests information in a non-competitive market consultation. This means that the spread/bandwidth in the answers coming from the market will be used amongst other to determine the definitive scope for the system and following tender procedure. The information that ATC-NL requests, concerns mostly the commercially of-the-shelf (COTS) availability for equipment that can fulfil ATC-NL's requirements for the envisaged new Surface Movement Radars. The purpose, process and further details regarding this market survey are explained in the market survey consultation that can be downloaded free of charge from the Negometrix tender platform.
