The Scottish Parliament will be holding an open supplier workshop on Friday 14.6.2013 at 10:00, which you are invited to attend. This workshop will last no longer than 2 hours. The purpose of this workshop is to assist the Scottish Parliament with our market research into how best to procure our portable radio communication devices for our Holyrood building in Edinburgh. These radios will be used in the main by the following offices: - Security - Facilities Management - Visitor Services - Events & Exhibitions - Broadcasting The Scottish Parliament are currently intending on retaining its existing Aerial combiner, cell enhancer, power supply and battery back-up equipment (unless suppliers inform us that this equipment is not capable of supporting digital radios or is about to go end of life). This infrastructure will be used with the replacement portable digital radios. Please find below an indication of what will be discussed: - Background information; - Scope of requirements and life expectancy of digital radios; - Compliance with Disability Discrimination Act 2006; - Operate with other systems e.g. fire system, telephone system; - Training; - Maintenance; - Pricing; - Old analogue equipment; - Batteries; - Replacement parts; - SLAs/KPIs. You should note that there are a limited number of spaces; therefore only one representative should attend. You can indicate if you would like an additional space and if after the closing date a space was available I will get back in contact. The Scottish Parliament is unable to pay for any travel costs or expenses.
